The young fern:

Although Joseph Lai named this fern as Cyathea trichodesma in his blog in March 2016 and indicated that the fern was discovered by Dr Benito Tan et al in 2009, I was not able to find this reference. As for the name Cyathea squamulata, it was used by both Yeo CK and Yeoh YS in their online plant photo album. Furthermore, the same name was also used in the publication titled "100 Common Vascular Plants of the Nee Soon Swamp Forest" (page 92-93).
